There are four maps of Saudi available. The Freytag & Berndt map, the ITMB map, the Reise Know How map and the Gizi Map. This one is the worst. All of them except the Gizi map cut Saudi into two halves: north and south. The fact is that Saudi does not cut well between these to halves. Most cities are in the central portion of the country and cutting it like this makes using the maps pretty tough. For instance the main road from west to east from Jeddah and Mecca via Riyadh to Khobar requires constant flipping of the large map. Also the nearby holy cities of Mecca & Medina are on different sides. This map (F&B) has the worst division. The Reise Know How and ITMB maps are divided a little more logically, but the Gizi map is the best bet as it is one sided. And let's face it - Saudi is large, but vast parts of the country are empty, so you don't really need the slightly bigger detail the two sided maps give. Also this map is the only one that does not state that Mecca & Medina are off limit to non-Muslims near the cities, all other maps state this in red letters.
